NISSAN · ELECTRONIC THROTTLE
Get the timing right.
One step at a time. Keep your eyes on the car.
Your key. Your pedal. Our cues.
Start with the ignition OFF and your foot off the accelerator. You’ll have five seconds to get ready.
Keep your screen on and this page visible throughout the run.
Before you begin Vehicle preparation & timing notes
For every run
Use only while parked outside, with the parking brake applied and the transmission in P or Neutral. ON means ignition ON, engine stopped, unless a step explicitly says to start.
Read through your chosen sequence first. Set phone volume, test the cues, and disable auto-lock if necessary. Act when each cue changes; if you miss one, stop and restart.
For idle learning
Coolant: 70–100°C / 158–212°F. Battery: above 12.9 V at idle. Warm the transmission with a 10-minute drive before parking. Keep A/C, headlamps and rear defogger OFF; wheels straight.
These conditions must remain satisfied. An accelerator position sensor circuit fault can prevent entry into learning mode.
Follow the car, then the timer
The ~20-second pedal hold waits for your confirmation. Release the pedal within 3 seconds of the light going solid, then tap. The final idle wait begins when you confirm the engine is running.
Switching apps or a timing interruption stops the run. Set ignition OFF and start over; a timed sequence cannot be paused.
